By now we should all know that our mother is always right. At least mine is. I talked to her the other day and she said she had just finished reading “The Good Earth” by Pearl S. Buck. She said it was fabulous and she was going to read it again.
Mom and I have always had similar taste in books (except for the occasional political biography I try to get her to read). And it just so happens that I recenty purchased “The Good Earth” in hopes of getting to it someday. It’s on Oprahs book club list.
Off the subject: I’m not a huge Oprah fan, but …Oprah’s book club. BEST books ever. Have not been disappointed by a single one of them.
So I started reading “The Good Earth,” and, of course, mom was right. It’s awesome. So I’m leaving my blog to finish it. Be back soon.
